Circularity at scale in Costa Rica

At the Coyol site in Costa Rica, waste from the injection moulding process is being turned into finished products. The local team developed a process to collect and reprocess scrap — grinding, pulverising and pelletising it into new raw material — which is then used to produce more than a million finished electrical storage boxes.

With over 120 tonnes of scrap transformed in the process, it is a practical example of circularity operating at manufacturing scale: reducing waste, cutting material costs and delivering real environmental benefit.
