Tackling water scarcity in Guatemala

​We provided a 400-hectare banana farm in Guatemala with a low-pressure irrigation system. It saves 40% of energy, and 80% of water compared to traditional gravity-flow irrigation – or 20% versus traditional sprinkler systems. Irrigating 20 million litres of water daily means annual savings of around 30 billion litres or two billion litres respectively.

We worked with a customer in Costa Rica to find a solution that could treat more than 50 million litres of wastewater annually, to use for irrigation on their industrial compound. It brings savings to the customer, improves water quality, and reduces water consumption.
