Flagship solution: efficient and sustainable drainage systems
Our innovative Active Drainage System with a single stack configuration is a complete drainage and ventilation solution, using P.A.P.A™ and AAVs. These solutions are ideal for medium and high-rise buildings, providing a complete and efficient solution for managing air pressure within drainage systems.
Positive Air Pressure Attenuator™ (P.A.P.A.™)
The P.A.P.A.™ manages positive air pressure transients within drainage systems.
As water descends through the drainage system, the P.A.P.A.™ attenuates positive pressure transients, ensuring smooth flow and preventing back-pressure.

Air Admittance Valves (AAVs)
AAVs are one-way valves that respond to negative pressure within the drainage system. When negative pressure is detected, AAVs open to allow air into the system, balancing the pressure and maintaining the integrity of water seals..

Benefits of active drainage ventilation
Enhanced occupant safety
Active drainage prevent trap seal depletion in every part of the building. No smells, no risk of contamination in the building.
Reduced pipework
By using PAPA and AAVs, the need for extensive ventilation pipework is minimized, saving on material and installation costs.
Improved system performance
These components ensure a better functioning drainage system compared to traditional multi-pipe systems.
Space efficiency
The system reduces the number of required downpipes and roof penetrations, optimizing the use of space within the building.
Flexibility
The system can be installed with any pipe material and retrofitted to troubleshoot existing drainage issues.
OUR COMMITMENT
Innovation
We are committed to bringing novel solutions based on extensive research in our unique testing facilities: Aliaxis High-Rise Research Test Tower and Hydro-Dynamics Experience Centre (HDEC).
Peace of mind
Excellence drives everything we do. Our products are rigorously tested for durability, reliability, and high performance.
Sustainability
At Aliaxis, we are committed to sustainable building practices, developing solutions that reduce environmental impact, improve water efficiency, and support greener, more resilient cities.

Cutting carbon emissions with innovative heat recovery system
We worked with the Accor Group on a trial of our Zypho brand’s drain water heat recovery technology in two of its hotels. The Zypho system captures the outgoing hot wastewater from a shower and uses it to heat the incoming cold water, recycling up to 75% of the energy needed to produce hot water in the process. That means lower energy bills, a cut in carbon emissions, and a response to the French government’s directive for the hospitality sector to cut energy use and adopt eco-friendly practices.
