Grand opening of our new research and development hub in North America

On April 9, 2025, our North American team proudly unveiled  the IPEX Centre for Advanced Research in Ontario, Canada—a transformative investment of over €20 million in Aliaxis’ innovation future. This 4,500+ square metre space is dedicated to experimenting, developing new solutions, and trialing new materials using advanced  technology like AI and 3D printing to bring products to market faster.

Alex Mestres, Chief Executive Officer at our North American brand IPEX said: “For more than 50 years, our R&D teams have collaborated closely with our customers to stay ahead of market demands, evolving regulations and environmental changes to develop products and exceed industry expectations. Ontario Premier Doug Ford, who attended the grand opening ceremony, commended IPEX’s commitment to innovation: “Congratulations to everyone at IPEX on the launch of the Centre for Advanced Research. This is a testament to IPEX’s commitment to innovation and excellence.”

In addition to driving product innovation, this state-of-the-art facility will play a pivotal role in fostering the growth of our STEM and skilled trades talent in North America, reinforcing our long-term investment in people and advanced manufacturing.
