Aliaxis, a world leader enabling access to water and energy through inventive fluid management solutions, welcomes Sophie Desormière as Chief Growth Officer, sitting at the Executive Committee. Sophie joins Aliaxis on January 9, reporting directly to Eric Olsen, Chief Executive Officer.

Until now, Sophie was the CEO of NAVYA, one of the world leaders in autonomous sustainable mobility systems and listed company on the Euronext regulated market in Paris. Prior to that Sophie has gained over 20 years of experience in executive roles in the field of sales, marketing and innovation, for industrial major players such as Solvay and Valeo.

Biography of Sophie Desormière:

Before joining Navya, she served as the CEO of AALPS Capital, a private equity management company dedicated to energy transition and hydrogen, from 2018 to 2022. Immediately prior to joining AALPS Capital, she was General Manager Marketing and Sales Excellence and Senior Executive Vice President at Solvay, the Belgium-based developer of specialty chemicals, starting in 2010. Previously, Sophie spent 17 years in increasingly responsible positions at Valeo, an independent industrial group focused on the design, production and sale of components, integrated systems and modules for the automotive industry, including Research & Development Product Line Director, Branch Marketing Innovation Director, Group Product Marketing Director and Comfort Enhancement Domain Director.

A French national, Sophie is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris and the Institut de Formation du Caoutchouc. She is an independent Board Member in two publicly traded companies in US and in Europe: since 2011 of motor vehicle manufacturer Gentherm and since 2017 of appliances, electrical, and electronics manufacturer Somfy SA.
