There’s nothing that brings people in Canada together like hockey. It really is our universal language. That’s why when our distribution partner Next Plumbing Supply invited us to join a road hockey fundraiser organised by the Princess Margaret Cancer Research Centre in Toronto, we just couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

After all, living our company values extends past the workplace and into the communities in which we operate, so we were eager to help make a difference. Once we committed to taking part in the fundraiser, Mike Weiss took care of assembling the IPEX team, recruiting players from our Oakville and Invader Sales offices in the Greater Toronto Area. Each one of the 11 IPEX participants was also active in fundraising on behalf of the event, which ended up raising a record total of $3.1M CAD!

Being part of this tournament was loads of fun and knowing that we were contributing to such a worthy cause made it that much more memorable. Plus, taking part in this event allowed us to connect with our customer on another level. In fact, IPEX has already committed to participating in the 2020 event and Next Plumbing Supply has challenged us to a basketball game in an attempt to avenge their loss in the road hockey tournament.

We’re all very proud to have participated in this charity fundraising events as ambassadors of IPEX, reflecting our company’s commitment to care and doing what we can to make the world a better place.
