Aliaxis has helped Rome’s University La Sapienza win 5th prize in Dubai’s Solar Decathlon. Every two years, the international competition sets over a dozen teams of students from around the world the challenge of designing and building innovative solar-powered houses. Prizes go to teams who combine design excellence and smart energy production with the use of materials having a low environmental impact, energy and water efficiency, and comfort for the user.
Team Sapienza partnered with our Italian business REDI, who provided their expertise in designing the waste- and rainwater systems as well as a grey water system that recycles water from sinks and showers to more than halve the household use of drinking water. They also helped the students assemble the prototype first in Rome, and then for the competition in Dubai.
Aliaxis’ innovative technology is not just equipping houses of the future, but also making homes more sustainable today. At Aliaxis, we make life flow.
