Aliaxis Next is a key component of our Growth with Purpose strategy and is an exemplification of our will to experiment with new ways of working. The new entity is made up of 3 vehicles:
- Incubating new business
- Achieving mergers & acquisitions in both new domains and tech
- Venturing capital funding, which aims at taking minority positions or forging technology partnerships with promising start-ups, which Aliaxis already begun in 2020.
Eric Olsen, Aliaxis CEO, said: “As part of our Growth with Purpose strategy, ‘Aliaxis Next’ will target adjacent markets with growth tailwinds and creating a positive impact on society. In this distinct division, we will gather the right skillset to build up new entrepreneurial businesses, including in new technologies. I am delighted to welcome Fredrik Östbye, who is a born entrepreneur and brings to Aliaxis hands-on experience and a successful track record in building start-ups in green tech.”
Fredrik Östbye, Head of Aliaxis Next, commented: “I am thrilled to join Aliaxis. In this new Division, we will go for new businesses and forge technology partnerships with promising start-ups to develop new solutions and services in sustainable water management, resilient water infrastructures and water for food production. All three important contributions to solving SDG6, Water and Sanitation.”
Venturing partnerships in place
Already signed venturing partnerships include APX10, a data-driven start-up that supports utility companies on the prioritization of maintenance of their piping network, and Kando, an environmental technology and data company specializing in digitising wastewater systems to offer operators enhanced insight and control over their networks.
