Factory of the Future: Philmac leads the way in South Australia

Aliaxis’ Philmac fittings site in South Australia is home to a new benchmark in manufacturing capability. The Factory of the Future, launched in 2025, brings together advanced automation across every stage of production — from material movement and component assembly to guided vehicles and an integrated warehouse retrieval system that stores stock across up to 45 levels.

The facility was designed to make the most of the existing site footprint by maximising vertical space, while eliminating indoor forklift traffic and reducing work at height. The result is a safer, more efficient environment that links production and warehousing seamlessly — and sets a new standard for what a modern Aliaxis manufacturing site can look like.
