Aliaxis appoints Laurent Lenoir as new CEO
The board of directors of Aliaxis, a leading global manufacturer and distributor of plastic fluid handling systems, announces today that Laurent Lenoir will join the group as its new Chief Executive Officer.
From 1 June onwards, Laurent Lenoir will take up his duties and current CEO Yves Mertens will take on a senior advisory role to the chairman of the board.
Chairman Olivier van der Rest comments: “I look back on Yves’ commitment with great respect and thank him on behalf of the board of directors for the many years of outstanding service to the company, first as Chief Financial Officer and subsequently, since May 2009, as Chief Executive Officer. Yves has led Aliaxis through the global financial and economic crisis and initiated the reshaping of the group with a view to its long-term success. He has been instrumental in further strengthening the group’s geographical diversification. The recent joint venture with Ashirvad in India and the acquisition of Vinidex in Australia are illustrative of the successful breakthroughs Aliaxis has made in Asia and Australasia while many other initiatives elsewhere in the world have been contributing to the group’s further development.”
